Ethiopian Airlines June – Oct 2014 Long-Haul Operation Changes as of 26MAR14

As per 26MAR14 GDS timetable/inventory display, Ethiopian Airlines planned long-haul service changes from June 2014 as follow.

Addis Ababa – Hong Kong eff 01JUN14 NEW Boeing 787 terminator 2 weekly service (3 weekly from 01SEP14)
ET638 ADD2315 – 1415+1HKG 788 15
ET639 HKG0035 – 0635ADD 788 37

Service operates Day 135 from ADD, Day 357 from HKG from 01SEP14. ET638/639 will replace previously scheduled 1-stop service via Bangkok

Addis Ababa – London Heathrow eff 07JUN14 Boeing 777-200LR operates on 1 of 6 weekly service (Day 7; 1 of 7 weekly from 08JUL14)
Addis Ababa – Paris CDG – Brussels eff 01JUN14 Addition of 6th weekly service (ADD dep on Day 7, CDG/BRU dep on Day 1), 767-300ER operating
Addis Ababa – Rome – Milan Malpensa eff 01JUN14 Boeing 757 operates on Day 7, replacing 767-300ER (Overall remains daily operation)
Addis Ababa – Toronto 01JUN14 – 31AUG14 Boeing 777-200LR replaces 787-8, 3 weekly service (outbound via Rome; YYZ departure 02JUN14 – 01SEP14)
Addis Ababa – Washington Dulles 01JUN14 – 31AUG14 Boeing 777-300ER replaces 777-200LR, daily service (outbound via Rome; IAD departure 02JUN14 – 01SEP14; Currently ET501 continues to display -200LR service)

Addis Ababa – Lome – Sao Paulo eff 26MAY14 3 weekly 787 service, replacing existing Addis Ababa – Lome – Rio de Janeiro – Sao Paulo on outbound sector
Addis Ababa – London Heathrow eff 08JUL14 Addition of 7th weekly service
Addis Ababa – Stockholm eff 02JUN14 3 of 7 weekly service converts to nonstop in both direction, with Boeing 767. Remaining 4 weekly operates via Vienna
Addis Ababa – Vienna – Stockholm eff 01JUN14 NEW 4 weekly service (2 weekly each of 757 and 767)
